Assessment and Reporting

Chosen Hill School is developing a new assessment scheme for the Foundation and Pathway phases of our five year curriculum based on the new GCSE 1-9 assessment grading system. Currently parents receive four Curriculum Monitoring reports each academic year outlining details of their child’s current attainment, progress and learning attitudes.

In-class assessment processes are being developed in line with the school’s commitment to the principles and language of growth mindset. There will be a series of parent information sessions early in the new academic year to provide more information to parents about what the new assessment arrangements will look like for students in each year group and phase of the curriculum pathways.
